Term 1 – Day 12

Stories are due at the end of the block today. Make sure your Rough Draft document is now your Final Draft document. You don’t have to share it again if you’ve already shared your rough draft correctly.

Term 2 – Day 12

You had today to finish your stories. Your Final Draft is due by Sunday on Google Docs.

Term 2 – Day 11

1. Gather all your message board feedback
2. Make a note of who gave you the BEST feedback.
3. Gather your feedback from Google Docs.
4. Create an action plan.

Your action plan should include:

  1. Your name(s)
  2. The name of the person who gave you the best feedback over the weekend.
  3. What are your story’s major strengths?
  4. What are your story’s weaknesses?
  5. What will you do today, tomorrow, and over break to make your story wonderful?

Once you’ve handed in your Action Plan, get to work on fixing your draft.

Your draft must be updated and finalized by Sunday night.
Monday and Tuesday are for Captions, so do you have pictures?

We’ll talk more about that Long-Forgotten Coverage project tomorrow.

Term 2 – Day 11

Today, you’ve got the whole block to work on your Final Draft. They’re due tomorrow at the end of the block.

Term 2 – Day 10

Today was yours to use to work on making your draft final. The final draft is due on Tuesday.

Term 2 – Day 10

1. Finish your Rough Drafts and share them with your editors, Grace, Emily, Janessa, and McCallum on Google Docs.

2. Post your story as a new topic in Publications Writing Homework Help.

Once you’ve done those two things, you can get a head start on your homework.

Leave a Praise and a Push for three of your classmates’ stories in the Publications Writing Homework Help board. This is worth 50 points.

Term 2 – Day 9

You got feedback on the Forum, from your editors, and from me today. I got to every draft that was turned in yesterday. 🙂

Today, take time to gather your feedback and make a plan for yourself. Your final draft is due Tuesday, so take time to work on that today. You should have a TON of feedback to go through, so take this seriously and get to work.

Term 2 – Day 9

1. Take about 35-40 minutes to work on your Coverage Assignment while interviews are graded and returned.

2. Take the remaining time to work on your story.

Rough drafts are due Tomorrow at the end of the block.

Term 2 – Day 8

By the end of class today, share your story with all necessary editors on the list.

Post your story as a new topic in Journalism Discussion – Homework Help.

Your homework for tomorrow is to leave specific, detailed, critical, and helpful feedback (much longer than a sentence for four classmate’s stories. Leave them as replies to the topics posted on the Journalism Discussion – Homework Help board.
