History: Homecoming

-=The Basics=-

For the week of the Homecoming football game the whole school partakes in different events throughout the school day and after school each night. The during school activities are usually as follows:

*Triple A activities in the main gym on Monday and Tuesday
*Friday during Triple A a pep fest is held in the main gym
*Different dress up days each day of the week

After school there is usually some kind of game between the students and the teachers. These games change yearly. The game for that day will be announced over the morning announcements.

Class color day is the most outdone day of all homecoming week. Student’s paint there faces, buy wacky outfits and even get competitive to become the winning class for class color day. The freshmen class color is yellow, sophomores are red, juniors blue, and seniors are black.

For each wacky dress up day of the week a price is given to one guy and one girl from each class. These winners are chosen by the most out-did outfits they wear for any given day of the week.

Then on that Friday the Football team plays the Homecoming game. After the game there is activity night in the cafeteria until nine. The activity night hosts a hypnotist; it has a Velcro wall, a poker championship, blow-up castle to jump in, volley ball, DDR, and so much more!

After the activity night there is a dance usually starting at nine and ending between eleven and twelve. The dance is semi-formal so the girls wear dresses or nice dress pants and the guys wear a comfy button-up tee with slacks.

-=Costs=-

The price of the game is five dollars at the gates. The cost of the activity night is also five dollars at the doors. The dance works a little bit different then the game and the activity night do. The dance ticket can be bought in advance or at the door upon arrival to the dance. If you choose to purchase your ticket ahead of time the costs is five dollars. If you wait until you arrive at the doors the cost is then seven dollars. The tickets usually go on sale at school on the Monday of Homecoming week. There will be an announcement in the morning on that Monday and then there is usually a reminder every morning along with the other daily announcements.
